This event is based on the traditional cross-country gallop, it is challenge over a course over 22 cross country obstacles to test the riders and horse ability. It can be run in pairs or trebles.

Three hunt calls must be performed in the competition.
First call is, going away.
Second call is, Gone to ground.
Third call is, going home.
First test will be the masters and the hunt staff, second test will be members of the hunt, female and male.

Barn Dance
Location: Trade Village
Evening of dancing, traditionally to celebrate the first international hunt festival, organised by the hunting association of Ireland.
There will be music, there will be dancing; there will be new mating calls handed out later in the evening by the “caller”.
The dancing is accompanied by any available instruments – often a violin or accordion – and involves a set sequence of movements directed by a ‘caller’ who shouts instructions.
